BH Cosmetics is probably one of my favorite brands when it comes to high quality, yet affordable makeup products. In fact, I own many of their eyeshadow palettes and they’ve rarely disappointed me. Recently, I purchased the Take Me Back To Brazil palette because of its bright and festive color scheme. I believe this palette is the redesigned version of BH Cosmetics’s popular Take Me To Brazil eyeshadow palette. Although I haven’t done any makeup look with this cutie pie, I’m so in love with how pigmented the eyeshadows are, just from swatching them.
Let’s check out the swatches!
The new design of the Take Me Back To Brazil palette is absolutely gorgeous. It reminiscences a festival or a carnival in Brazil and, just like how it is called, it makes you want to pack your suitcase and fly to Brazil immediately.
The packaging is slim but sturdy. In addition, the palette includes a mirror which makes it very convenient to bring on a trip.
There are total 35 different hues in the Take Me Back To Brazil palette, including two huge black and white shadows and one ultra-luminous highlighter. The eyeshadows come in matte, satin and shimmery.
From swatching the eyeshadows, I would say some of them are more pigmented and creamy than the others. A few shadows, mostly the light and pastel ones, are a little bit chalky but not terrible. They are buildable, so you can easily get a stronger color if you want to create an intense and flashy makeup. I highly recommend the Take Me Back To Brazil palette from BH Cosmetics if you’re looking for some colorful and fun eyeshadows for the occasionally festive makeup look. It is sold at $16.99 on BH Cosmetics website but you can easily get it with a much cheaper price because BH Cosmetics always has sale and promotion on their site.
I’m definitely happy with my purchase and I can’t wait to share with you all the makeup tutorials that I will create with the Take Me Back To Brazil eyeshadow palette. Make sure to follow me on my Instagram @joliecious to see when I post them.
