Finally, Fall is here! I’ve been waiting for this sweater weather for the entire year. Putting my bright and colorful clothes away, I can’t wait to lounge around in my comfy and cuddly sweaters. When Fall comes, not only does my closet change but also my makeup. Forget about those hot pink and orange color eyeshadows and lipsticks, I gravitate towards warm brown earthy tones or different berry shades when doing my makeup. Today, I’m bring you a quick and easy Fall makeup look that I’ve been loving lately. I named it “Early Autumn Makeup” because, although I used three different shades of berry purple, there is still a pop of bling bling glitter that reminds me of the fun summer that just passed.
Should we start?
Sunset is always one of my favorite view. It is, indeed, the most magical moment of the day when the sun goes down and the sky becomes a mesmerizing painting filled with different colors like blue, red, orange, yellow and purple. I was inspired by this beautiful scene to create today tutorial: Sunset Glow makeup look. I know there are already a lot of makeup tutorials on sunset-inspired makeup but here is my easy and wearable version.
What I used:
- NYX Hot Singles Eyeshadow – Bad Seed
- City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadow – Cheers To Life $3.99
- Makeup Revolution – Iconic Elements Eyeshadow Palette $7.00
- Makeup Revolution – Unicorns Are Real Eyeshadow Pallete $7.00
- Covergirl – Total Tease Waterproof Mascara $8.99 (See my review HERE)
- Seraphine Botanicals – Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner $22.00
- Clinique Skinny Stick – Sleek Teak
I’m not a purple eyeshadow kinda girl but I’m so pleased with the final look. This Sunset Glow makeup look is a little bit extra but not too over-the-top. It is wearable for both day and night. Jump over to my Instagram @joliecious to see which lip color I paired with this makeup look.
Hot Summer Makeup Tutorial
Covergirl Total Tease Mascara Review
Until next time,
Summer vibe is in full swing here on my blog. In my last post, I shared with you an easy summer makeup that is cute yet edgy. To continue with the summer theme, today, I want to share with you a flower nail art tutorial that you can rock all summer long. I wore this nail design to my local country fair and received so much compliments. This flower nail art tutorial features a neon-orange nail polish (Game Changer) from Trust Fund Beauty that I got in my Ipsy’s June Glam Bag.
Don’t be fool by the look of it, this flower nail art is super easy to do. All you need are some dotting stools.
If you have any dotting tools like the ones I use, the round part of any pen caps and some toothpicks will do. So, without further ado, here’s the tutorial!
- After applying a layer of base coat to protect your nail, apply the base color.
- Using a big dotting tool, create 5 dots like the picture.
- To create a petal, use a small and sharp dotting tool and drag a line starting from the middle of the dot to the center of the flower. Repeat to all the other dots.
- This is optional. I also added a smaller flower to fill up the empty space.
- Wait for the flowers to dry and apply your favorite top coat to seal in you work.
Voila! You’re done! How do you think about this neon flower nail design? Let me know where you would rock this nail design to?
Guys, I have a confession.
I’ve been neglecting my eyeshadows so much lately. Instead, I’ve been using blushes on my eyes. Yes, you read it right! Blushes! Half of me worries that my eyeshadows might expire without being put in good use (if you have expired/old eyeshadows, check out this post to see how I turn mine into nail polish), but the other half kinda loves the idea of using blushes in place of eyeshadows. They are so colorful and pigmented. Also, who doesn’t like multi-purposes beauty products?
Today’s makeup tutorial features some of my most favorite blushes. I think this look is so suitable for the summer because of the orange coral hue. So, without further ado. Let’s start!
If you haven’t got on the Korean nail arts bandwagon yet, you might be missing out some of the most amazing and bold nail trends. One of these trends is the high-heel nail. From Instagram to Pinterest, I’ve been seeing this nail art everywhere. Even sites like Popsugar and Byrdie featured it.
The idea of high-heel nail is that you create a thick line of nail polish in the middle of your nail to mimic a high heel. Sound pretty simple, don’t you think? If you’re still in doubt, keep on reading to see how easy it is to create this trendy Korean nail art.
It’s been a minute since I last posted a makeup tutorial. This time, I combined gold and rose eyeshadows. It’s classic but always trendy because rose and gold go so well together. You can wear this makeup on a day-to-day basis or even wear it to any special occasion. If you want to recreate this Golden Rose look, follow my step by step makeup tutorial!
Are you having a romantic date and wanting to doll yourself up for the special occasion? You are at the right place, my friend. Valentine’s day is right around the corner so, today, I prepare a quick and easy V-Day makeup look for you. This look could be suitable to wear both day and night. I chose pink as my main shade because you can’t go wrong with pink on Valentine’s Day. Don’t you agree?
