Hi friends,
As you can tell from the title, today post is a tutorial. Gradient lips have been such a huge trend in Korea and it doesn’t seem to cool down. Now in the western countries like America, people start to rock the gradient lips with different customization. Today, I want to show you how I usually do my gradient lips. This is how I do my lips most of the time because it’s cute and natural.
WHAT YOU NEED:

Maybelline 687 ALL FIRED UP

Maybelline Gloss Baby Lips 30 PINK-A-BOO

Maybelline 910 BARE ALL
There are various ways to do Korean gradient lips. You can pretty much use every lippie available such as lip stick, lip tint, gel, etc. However, today I will use lip sticks because I’m pretty sure everyone own at least one 😀
Products I use are unintentionally all from Maybelline
Color swatches:
STEPS:
1. Preparation: I usually exfoliate my lips and prep them with lip balm before putting on makeup.
2. Because of the lighting, my lips look pale in the first photo but in real life they are pretty pigmented. This is where nude lip stick becomes handy. Here, I apply a thin layer of nude color on my lips, concentrating on the outer area. Many people use foundation for this step but I prefer nude lip stick because it’s lip stick. It should stay on your lips better.
3. I apply my main lip color (here I use ALL FIRED UP by Maybelline), focusing on the inner of my lips. Feel free to put a lot and thick, because you will blend it out. Next, use a q-tip or lip brush to blend out the edges to create the gradient effect.
4. You can stop at step 3 if that’s what you prefer. But I like to apply a little bit of gloss to the inner of my lips for a touch a shine. I think it’s cute and it helps bring the look together.
ALL DONE 😀
This is how I usually do my lips. Leave me a comment if you have any question or tell me how you do your lips makeup. I’m curious to know! 😀

I'd love to try this colour combination too someday!

Yes you should. Even though the pink looks very vibrant, it goes on my lips very naturally with the help of the nude color.
Ohhh I'm totally going to try this! 🙂 x I really love the end result. <3
