June 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag

*This post was originally posted on joliecious.blogpost.com*

Hey friends,
Welcome back to my blog!
It’s that time of the month, again, (no..not that TOM) when I share with you what I receive in my Ipsy Glam Bag. For the month of June, I wasn’t quite excited about the pouch itself because it’s just not my style. However, I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the products I would received on Ipsy website
*drum roll please* Here they are:

I also had a chance to test them out for a few times so I will be able to provide quick reviews on each product in my June Ipsy Glam Bag.

1. Royal & Langnickel MODA™ – Crease/Smudge Brush

This double sided brush reminds me of the Real Techniques travel brushes that I always see at Walgreens. Therefore, I was very excited to own one. I love the idea of double sided brushes because it allows you to do your makeup without using too many brushes and is super convenient when you travel. This brush has anti-slip grip which is helpful, especially for beginners. I was hoping that the brush would be soft but sadly it isn’t. It is prickly when I use it to apply eyeshadow. I will still use it occasionally, or when I travel, but definitely not everyday.

2. Delectable by Cake Beauty – Everything Balm

“Everything Balm”…you can tell from its name that you can use this almost on everything. The bottle says that it can be used on lips as balm or gloss, on heels, cuticles, can be used to tame brows, highlight cheekbones and brighten dark circle. This is an all-around balm. I’ve been using this balm for about a week now. I use it on my lips, on my eyes as an eye cream and even used it on my boyfriend’s sun burn. The product does what it claims: moisturizing. It has glossy, oily finish…very similar to the Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream. Even their scents are similar which I don’t really like. Overall, Everything Balm is a great product but I don’t think I will purchase it on my own because of the smell.

3. Elizabeth Mott – Show Me Your Cheeks Blush in Peach Pink

I love this color..love love love. I even have a Wet n Wild blush in very similar color. It is a peachy color with fine gold glitters which is perfect for the summer. It adds nice color on your checks, as well as makes your cheeks glowy. In my opinion, the blush is very sheer which, to me, is a throw-off. I like my blush to show! Like I said above, I already own a Wet n Wild blush in a similar color. And that blush is way more pigmented. However, if you’re someone of prefer sheer natural blushing cheeks, this blush is for you. The color is suitable for all skin tones.

4. Jouer – Highlighter in Tiare

This is my favorite in this month Glam Bag. It is a cream highlighter from Jouer in the shade tiare. I absolutely love the color. Luckily, it suits my skin tone perfectly. The cream is so soft; it just glides on the skin. The glow is so lovely! You can you it as highlighter on the cheekbones or nose. For me, I’ve been using it on my eye lids and in the center of my lower lip. It is a very versatile product. I might just buy the full size because I really love it.

5. theBalm Cosmetics – Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow in Matt Moskowitz

I’ve have read a lot of theBalm Cosmetics and always wanted to try their products. They are known for cute packaging and affordable price. I super happy when Ipsy added this eyeshadow to my bag. Mine is in Matt Moskowitz, a matte plum shade. Despite how excited I was, I’m quite disappointed because the eyeshadow isn’t very pigmented. The color is dark in the pan but it is very sheer on the eye. You will have to pack a lot of product in order for the color to show. I wish I could love this product but sadly I don’t. Maybe next time, I will have better luck with theBalm.

Overall, I’m quite satisfied with June 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag. All of the product samples I received are definitely worth the price I paid. June is almost over and I can’t wait to get my hands on Ipsy July Glam Bag.
What do you think about my June 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag? If you are also an Ipster, what did you get in your bag? I’m very curious to know.
See you next time and good luck!

That is exactly what I love about Ipsy. It's only $11/month including shipping. If you're lucky, you will get full size products sometimes.
